The biggest prize of the night: Spotlight beat out The Big Short, Trumbo, Beasts Of No Nation and Straight Outta Compton to win Outstanding Performance By A Cast In A Motion Picture
The ceremony held in Los Angeles made room for some of the biggest names in entertainment, with stars gathering to toast another year in film and television at one of the few awards ceremonies where actors are judged by their peers. The biggest award of the evening went to Spotlight, who took home the prize for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. The film beat
out the likes of Beasts Of No Nation, The Big Short, Straight Outta Compton and Trumbo. Leonardo DiCaprio won his first Screen Actors Guild Award in the form of Best Actor for The Revenant, having been nominated in that category four times.
